OOMEGA Persistency
Bindings to Versant Object Database, Hibernate and db4objects.
Metmodels designed with OOMEGA and corresponding models can be stored in object-oriented and relational databases. A prominent use case is to utilise OOMEGA's MDE capabilities on top of a central database repository. Currently ready-made bindings are available for:
- Versant Object Database - a major ODBMS market player
- the leading open source O/R mapping solution Hibernate
- the leading open source object database db4objects
All database bindings implement the very same Java Model Access API. Hence you are able to implement your solution on top of OOMEGA's MemoryDB and switch to e.g. Versant Object Database in a production environment with really no effort.
OOMEGA Persistency is a commercial and closed-source product. Our licensing model allows for interchanging the concrete database bindings - so you buy floating licenses for the product OOMEGA Persistency and you decide later whether to use Versant, Hibernate or db4objects.
