OOMEGA participates in the Language Workbench Competition 2011

The objective of the language workbench competition is to compare the strengths and weaknesses of various language workbenches - like OOMEGA - based on solutions for a predefined set of cases. Here's a link to the competition's website: http://www.languageworkbenches.net.

We support this initiative and participate in the contest. Our solution description is virtually complete. It can be found here: http://wiki.oomega.net/display/TUT/Language+Workbench+Competition+2011.

We were able to solve all functional requirements of the case. Our solution does not contain a single line of 3GL code for designing the languages, implementing constraints or setting up text editors. In total we coded less than 250 lines of code with OOMEGA’s metamodelling language M2L in order to realize the whole functionality of the LWC2011 case.

We are going to present our solution on May 24th, the day before Code Generation 2011, at Murray Edwards College in Cambridge, UK. The LWC workshop is included in the fee for Code Generation 2011, and registration can be indicated while registering for the conference. For those who only want to attend the workshop, a fee of £95 + VAT will apply.

Don’t miss the event. You can register for the event here.
